Our Mission
We focus on an inquiry-based approach to guide children towards critical thinking strategies with an emphasis on open ended play & safe “risky play”. Our program is centered around providing children with the opportunity to explore various subjects (art, language, music, science, and local culture) through engaging in a variety of outdoor disciplines such as dendrology, horticulture, forestry, animal husbandry and outdoor recreation.

Cultivating inquisitive and creative play in forest exploration through hands-on observation and creation in a local ecosystem.
Integrating stem-enrichment and inquiry- based play by developing technical skills paired with ecological literacy and practical applications.
Nestlings, providing families with the opportunity to engage in and learn about nature through sensory exploration.
Pathfinders, providing youth with opportunities for outdoor recreation, skill development, and stem exploration in nature. This program will utilize the Outdoor Adventures curriculum.
A 17 acre creekside Haven, fondly referred to as “the Promised Land”in the Northern part of Unicoi County TN. Hosting both a grove of over 15 varieties of Tennessee native trees, a pasture of native forages, and a healthy creek habitat, the Wilded Willows Forest School location provides young adventurers plenty of serendipitous encounters with native wildlife.
